Museum and Park Passes (2024)

  • If your account is in good standing, you are eligible to reserve two museum passes per month. These two museum passes cannot be used on the same day; each cardholder is limited to a total of one pass each day.

KidsQuest Museum and Bellevue Arts Museum allow one pass to be reserved per household every 90 days. All other museums allow one pass to be reserved per cardholder every 90 days.

Reserved, but unused, passes are considered checked out. Unused passes apply towards these limits.

  • You will get this error if your library card expired. Cards expire when not used for two years. Please contact library staff if your account is not working.

  • You may reserve a pass for the same museum every 90 days.

    • KidsQuest Museum and Bellevue Arts Museum passes are limited to one pass per household. You must wait 90 days before making another reservation for these museums.
    • For all other museums, one pass may be reserved per cardholder every 90 days.

If you have previously reserved a museum pass, you must wait 90 days before you can reserve another pass for the same museum.

Reserved, but unused, passes are considered checked out. Unused passes apply to this 90 day wait period.

  • Visit our museum pass page (also available through Books and More and under Services). Scroll down or click link for Reserve a Pass or Change a Reservation. Click “My Passes” button to login and view or cancel existing passes.

Need to change the date of your pass? You’ll need to:

      • Cancel the existing pass (before 2pm on the day before the date of the pass) and
      • Make a new reservation for a different date.

You will be unable to cancel later than 2pm of the day before the reservation, and the pass will count as “used” and count against your use limits.

  • You will get this error if you have over $75 in fees. Accounts with over $75 in fees cannot borrow items. This includes checking out museum passes.

Please contact library staff if your account is not working.

  • You might get this error if you typed the card incorrectly. Please try again. You may also get this error if your card is marked “inactive” or no longer is in our system. This could happen if your card was previously replaced, or expired and was deleted.

  • Yes.

Student cards do not have an email address associated with them. You will need to provide an email address every time you reserve a museum pass. We ask for your email address so that you can get a confirmation message and access your pass online.

  • You need an active library card to reserve a museum pass. Your account must:

    • have no more than $75 in fees,
    • not be expired, or have any other notices on it (such as pending address verification).

Please contact library staff if your account is not working.

Please see the terms of each museum on our museum pass page such as:

    • the number of people admitted per pass or
    • the number of passes allowed per family or household.

There are also limits on how often an individual or household may claim a pass.

In the “Reserve a Pass” section, you may also click or tap on each museum’s name to see the terms for that venue.

  • Visit ourmuseum pass page (also available through the 'Books & More' menu at the top of any page, under 'Services'), read the terms and availability for each museum.

Scroll down to the “Reserve a Pass” section.

On a desktop or laptop computer:

Scroll down through available dates and available museums.

Click the “Request Pass” button, under the date, for your desired museum.

    On a mobile device:

Under the desired date, tap on name of museum to expand.

If available, it will show a “Request Pass” button at bottom of museum description.

If not available, it may show a “Closed” button.

After clicking “Request Pass” you will be asked for your library card number and PIN. Continue and follow the prompts to confirm your contact information (phone/email).

You may also opt in to get text reminders to your cell phone.

Click the “Continue” button at bottom of that screen to complete the reservation.

On the next screen, review the pass name and date and your information.

At bottom of that screen, click “Submit this Request” if everything is correct.

You may now print the pass (from a computer). Or, “View and Send Pass Information” to your email/by text (follow prompts).

Please note each museum’s terms of use.

    · Some require a printed pass.

    · Some will accept a digital image of pass on screen of mobile devices.

    · Most passes also require visitors to present a picture I.D. that matches the name on the pass.
