The food was to die for, especially the smoked duck! Not sure why this place doesn’t have a Michelin star. The food is easily better than many other Michelin stars I’ve been too.

It is located on the road that passes by the peripheral of Meursault. Fine dining restaurant in a bit more casual setting. It is semi-open kitchen so you can see the busy work. Food was amazing. They were creative and the plating and garnish were all beautifully executed while flavor was also on point, “seasoned” well and cooked to perfect texture for all ingredients.The minus involves their lack of availability for glass wines. Out of 30+ restaurants I visited in Bourgogne, this was the first and the last place to offer only one type for each, red, white and sparkling. And, the unnecessary sass. Asked if I want red or white, and the server just pours away and leaves without telling me what it is. Asked for a digestif and I was given an alternative without an explanation.Nothing was really out of place but it’s just that small detail that makes a customer return or not.

Hands down my favorite restaurant on meursault!! Amazing wine list and Food is consistently delicious. It was my first time there since pandemic last week and they are just as amazing as ever!

Superb lunch. We were tight on time because we had a degustation planned, but the waiters were very kind and took in charge the acceleration of the menu.Very gentle and seasonal menu.The only flaw, as you may have read in the other reviews, is the poor selection of wine by the glass (one red and one white option). Given that there are 10 wine coolers in the dining area (approximately with a total of 1000 bottles?) they could improve this aspect giving at least two options for red and two for white.

I had a great experience with the food I had in this place but the overall experience was a bit average and I explain why. First of all, the restaurant is located in a beautiful place the entrance to it isn't just clearly signalled and we had to ask some random guests where it was, once we got in, we got greeted and escorted to our table. Once we sat, the atmosphere felt like we were in a bistro with expensive glassware and a large wine list. (there is a note on the food/wine menu that encourage you not to break the glassware or you'll be charged 30 euros for each glass you break, who goes to a restaurant thinking about breaking glassware?). Even though they have an extensive wine list, they just offered me one option for white or red by the glass, which was a bit disappointing. The service was like they were serving drinks to their mates, where a single tray wasn't seen to pick up any empty glassware, and everything was handled using their bare hands. One of the waiters was constantly crouching down to take the orders which I found a bit unprofessional. If you don't care about attention to detail and only care about the food and the great selection of wines by the bottle, then this is the place for you.

Many of the restuarant in France is close on Monday and Tuesday. We decided to choose a restuarant from one of the hotel's recommendation.The restuarant situated in the town meursault. A pretty town in cote d'Beaune, a town that is famous for its white wine.The food presentation is meticulously pretty. The taste of the food is joyously playful. The chef provides many unexpected twist and turn of the taste profile of his dishes. The use of lobster bisque in the fried langoustine ravioli provide beautiful combo tastes of land and sea. The freshness of green asperaus and goat cheese. The use of local Charolais beef and pinoi noir reduction sauce is simple yet elagant. It is a shame that we could not pair the food with the buttery Meursalt wine. This restaurant was excellent. It was nice to take a break from the heavy Burgundian food and enjoy a lunch with veggies. The food was beautiful and it tasted as great as it looked. All courses were well balanced, the perfect amount of each item. Wine list of course was great too. Restaurant was very reasonable priced for the quality. Will definitely revisit.

Amazing place to rub shoulders with the local wine makers

Was a bit doubtful when we arrived however when the first aperitif arrived all doubt was gone. Absolutely, one of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure to eat at in Burgundy. Modern, surprising, just perfect.

Oh my gosh. Well - we have all had experiences that are absolutely unforgettable. This is one for me. Absolutely outstanding food and incredible service. A small but mighty menu that appears to change to the season. This restaurant is ran by a couple, and we were treated to so much information from one of the pair on what we were about to eat. I had pigeon (for the first time in my life) and was shocked by how tender it was. Other stand outs were the apple dessert and chocolate mousse. And, my goodness, I’ll never forget the mushroom and poached egg I had to start. Honestly talking about each dish seems like a waste of time. It doesn’t matter - I don’t think you can have a bad plate be served to you here. It’s that good. Make a reservation right away!

An amazing restaurant. My only regret was not having three stomachs so I could sample all their offerings. The server, Agnes, is helpful, friendly and a bundle of energy. She alone served 18 customers and yet made everyone ha. She recommended a good local wine to go with my meal. I ordered scallops and slow cooked pork belly. Truly delicious. The restaurant has under 30 seats. So reservation is a must.

Quite a special place. Initially the menu looked a bit small but the quality of the food was excellent. The wine list is extensive and we received fantastic service for a busy place. The server said she chooses all the wines herself, visiting most of the wineries personally. I would go back for certain if we had more time in Beaune. Top 3 meal on this trip.I had the pigeon which was excellent and wine choice that was very unique. Loved it.

Went for a glass after dinner. Cheese plate was good, vibe was good, but the Somm brought us a glass (bottle in pic 3) after we ordered the premier cru in pic 1, assuming we don’t know much about wine. When asked to change to what we ordered, he explained he ‘changed his mind because he thinks this one he brought us is more drinkable and the premier cru we ordered is not open’.Leaving a one star review as I believe honesty is the grounding principle for doing any business.

This is a lovely but small restaurant, we booked seats one month ahead and we all liked it a lot, we ordered almost all dishes that evening but all the food was so tasty and unforgettable. The Burgundy white wine we drank was also a great suggestion by the waiter. It is definitely a must try restaurant if you plan to be in the area.

I’m in love. This place is AMAZING!!! Best place to dine in Beaune. Every dish we ordered had incredible flavors and the service was spot on! Everything was prepared in front of you, so you get to experience the magic. And it was truly a magical and transformative experience. The Chef clearly cares about how he makes and presents every dish. It was a wonderful evening and an exceptional dining experience! La Lune goes on our list of favorite places to dine in Beaune! I always look forward to having dinner in La Lune on our way to the South or back up north. Late opening and serving hours are just a cherry on top of the delicious food and absolutely professional service. The place is tiny, you sit at the bar overlooking the chef at work - it is quite a show to watch! The marriage/fusion of French and Japanese cuisine is as surprising as it is subtle and delicious.We're very lucky to have discovered this restaurant almost four years ago. It definitely deserves a place in Michelin guide.

OK I will say what everyone else below has said, this place is amazing. We made a reservation early enough to sit at the corner of the Chef's table. And you do need to reserve well in advance although we did see walk-ins at 10-11PM. Having lived in Paris, NYC, Tokyo and Brussels we are used to great food. La Lune was as good as we have had anywhere for creativity, presentation and of course taste. Just fantastic. This is a two man show but it never misses a beat. My only complaint, which was totally my fault, is that I did not order the pork chop early enough which was prepared with the skill of a surgeon and looked terrific! A wonderful experience from start to finish.

Everything is flawless, the chef, the food, the presentation art of food, the taste, the waiter. The half portion dish is just the most outstanding part, it allows you to try almost everything from snacks to dessert. We are so grateful that we found this place, it made our last night in France perfect ending. ❤️

One of, if not the best meal during our time in France. Amazing service and food. We took advantage of the half portion option to taste more of the items on the menu. The Menchi Katsu was sublime, I wanted to take a dozen home for later. Watching the chef prepare each item as Julien was a one-man wonder taking orders, turning over dishware, testing each wine, and helping to prep each meal item. Bravo!

We just had an excellent meal there. The food was delicious and prepared right under our noses. Seeing a dish from raw materials to a scrumptious piece of art was like watching a magician at work. We especially loved the turbot and pigeon. Reserve well ahead!

I'm usually not an Asian fusion person, but this restaurant exceeded my expectation. I came here twice over a period of 4 years and couldn't believe that the quality was as good as I remembered. Both times were recommended by the locals, too. Service is always friendly and thoughtful. There is only one Japanese chef but all dishes come out at the perfect time and tasted fresh. The place is very cozy and popular so I'd highly recommend a reservation!

Hands down one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. It is a very small space with only one server and the chef, no other staff around. This makes for a very intimate experience. Excellent wine and absolutely delicious food. We had several different dishes all of which were amazing. We'd go here any time again.

Our party of 4 still ranks this as one of the best meals of our 2 week France trip...and consider we also dined at Paul Boucuse! Lovely ambiance in the quaint town of Pommard. The service was superb but the multi course meal was one amazingly delicious treat after another. Don't miss this one.

We have been to 4 Michelin star restaurants on our trip so far and this place has been our favorite dining experience so far. The wine and food pairings have been the best. They deserve a star. Not sure why they don't have a star, they definitely deserve one. It's difficult to find a restaurant that gets the wine and food right on every turn.

Really lovely dinner - the food was brilliant, the wine wonderful and the service was first class and very friendly. We weren't going to have cheese but the cheese trolley was so amazing we couldn't say no! I can see why it's so popular - make sure you book!

A relaxed dining experience in an beautiful courtyard featuring a thoughtfully selected menu and an extensive wine menu. Service was attentive though I should mention there was a lot of time between the appetizer and the entree. Price was quite reasonable given the impressive quality of each dish. Very recommended!

Well executed dishes with an extensive wine cellar. Friendly & helpful staff along with a fantastic chef who checks in on his guest’s experience. A travel magazine recommended the restaurant year’s prior as a local wine maker’s "hotspot," it sounded so great that we had it on our “travel list” for a while… Reservations are needed, easily on the website by email. A large, free of charge parking lot is nearby if not staying in the city. A highly recommended dining experience in Beaune.

We had menu du jour for lunch. At 25 euro it was a steal. During our three weeks in france this was absolutely the best menu we've had.The service was great as well as their selection of wine au verre.I would advise to book with some notice, we had some luck as it was early in the week Ns got a table for lunch.We will absolutely come back for both lunch and dinner next time we visit Beaune.

We booked on the basis of rave reviews and were not disappointed. The back garden where we ate is a lovely area, very romantic setting and they lit candles when it got dark. The quality and quantity of the food is exceptional. For the price is it a steal. The wine list is comprehensive. They were very busy so the service was a little slow at times to get attention but the food came out at perfect pace. It is a real hidden gem and would definitely go back. The place is amazing. Had lunch on Monday and Thursday as reservations for dinner are hard to get. The quality of food and service is hard to believe for the set price. Wine list is extraordinary.Arrived for the second lunch to be greeted warmly by the same staff who remembered exactly the food and the wine we had 3 days prior. Incredible service. Seems to be a family place, as the young son who just finished his lunch brought over a side dish with what looks to be his sister.Couldn’t recommend more highly. The fish was excellent and my first time having beef tongue with lentils.

We enjoyed our first dinner in Beaune at Cave Madeleine and everything was perfect. We sat at a quaint table for two in the window. Service was warm and attentive. The wine list is huge. We chose the Chef’s tasting menu and the food was delicious; oyster, beets, leeks, rabbit, fish, chicken, a decadent dessert and fresh bread. Great value, and a great sampling of gourmet, local, freshly prepared foods. I highly recommend, but do plan ahead with a reservation.

DO NOT STAY HERE— YOU WONT BELIEVE WHAT THEY DID…We showed up to check into our room and called the number on the door. They gave us the combo to enter one of their rooms and someone was already staying in the room! They not only double booked, but gave us the combo without any confirmation number or anything. They did refund our “night stay” but that was it.If they wanted to make this situation right, they’d reach out and cover our night stay at another hotel that wasn’t easy to find this particular night.If I could, zero stars would be more appropriate. Scary to think about how they handle their guests.

The Sommelier was excellent and she really knew her wines. The cod with beurre blanc was devine. The sardines on focaccia was a perfect starter.

Good wines, but the service was confused forgetting about clients. Expensive for such mistakes. It took a time until they noticed us.

My second visit. Came in the quiet winter and really enjoyed. Came back again in the spring and it was quite busy and the staff was clearly overwhelmed. Amazing wine list is the reason to visit but the menu is very small and limited and the service is clearly challenged.

Maison de Colombier a perfect location to enjoy fabulous wines and champagnes.They have a huge selection of the wine and champagnes. Food & wine pairing is possible. Just ask them and they will take care of you right away!! Food is more tapas like but well presented and simply delicious.The rooms are quiet nice and the bed confortable. Wonderful! Made reservations for a Thursday night at 8 and when we got there it was pretty busy already. We got to sit out on the patio and some of the people coming after us without reservations had to sit inside.They had menus in French and English which I would usually find to be a turnoff for a restaurant but it in this case it was not the case! I ordered the eggs with truffles and my bf ordered the beef tartare. We were both extremely happy. The egg dish came with the eggs and were served in this creamy sauce with a bunch of truffles shaved on top and crunchy croutons. Deliciously decadent! Ended with the apricot pie with honey and lavender. Floral flavors in dishes are always hit or miss for me but my bf liked it and it had a lot of apricot in it too.I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to try interesting, authentic French cuisine in a beautiful setting.

Saturday night dinner, the place was full and reservations are required.Had the cheese platter for a starter, the baguette was very soft without crust though.The mushroom risotto was pretty good.Sablé Bretagne with pistachios was my highlight.Great wine selection.

Ich habe mit ihr auch das Bad geheizt, dessen neuer Heizlüfter leider nicht ging.Die Abendbesetzung war top, und das Abendmenue ein Traum: das Amuse geule Kartoffelsuppe mit Chip, tolle Brötlein zur Auswahl, dann Hülsenfrüchte veloutée, Thunfisch bzw Kalb, karamellisiertes Apfeltörtchen mit Eiskugel bzw 3erlei Käse mit wieder anderem Brot. Alles ein Gedicht! Der Service durch beide Herrschaften ein Vergnügen! Stylish die Innendeko im Restaurant: alles voller Hirsche und Rehe, wie der Name des Hotels, ein interessanter Zeitvertreib zum Entrée oder zwischen den einzelnen Gängen.Das heiße Wasser für die Thermoskanne für Tee am Zimmer und die Wärmflasche fürs Bett problemlos. The (lone) chef is a true artist! Had the accidental pleasure of sitting at the chefs table, where it was visible how the chef prepared by himself all perfectly cooked meals, all by instinct using no timers. All dishes were a masterpiece, but the mussels were the best ever in terms of taste and doneness.

This was such a fantastic dining experience and I would highly recommend you don't miss this place. We made a reservation a few weeks in advance and were not disappointed. The best seat in the house was at the counter where we got to witness the chef in action. He is a true master and the technique and flair with which he cooked were so fun to watch. You definitely should make reservations as you don't want to miss this experience. I would try to get a seat where you can watch the chef. The wine list was amazing and the selection of food was perfect. Be ready when you enter the restaurant as you might be treated to an amuse-bouche as we were and it was amazing. It was something like liquid parmesan cheese and just exploded with incredible flavors in your mouth. The lady who I believe was his wife was so helpful in assisting us in selecting our meal along with some wine selections. There was also a younger gentleman who was very attentive and had excellent input on our selections and wine choices as well so the combination was perfect. It was the best way to experience a true French meal from an incredible chef.

To bad google does not allow half star ratings. For sure a 4.5! Excellent food, great chef. Nice little gem! And beautiful wines! Enjoyed it very much, I loved the boudin noir, keep it up!

We had a lovely dinner. The food was amazing. We sat at the bar and got to watch the chef prepare everything to perfection. The food coming out looked so delicious that we ordered the croque for “dessert” (in addition to the lemon pudding). We do not speak any French so there was a bit of a language barrier, but the host and chef were helpful and accommodating.

La superb really superb! Enjoyed the foie gras appetiser, their rendition was something that we have never tried before! Doneness for salmon was perfect but the star of the night was the amazing sweetbread! Strongly recommended for food lovers!

Guys,, I am a quite fussy guy,,, but this place was absolutely sensational. My wife & I frequently visit great restaurants,, but this was definitely a standout. We have travelled all the way from Australia & the standard + quality of food was exceptional which has made our experience in Beaune even more favourable. I/we highly recommend. Fish was delicious and the extras you could order were great (I recommend the chirashi salmon) but for 25 euros a person I found it VERY expensive for what it was. I would love to go again during their (cheaper) lunch hours.

Perhaps a strange thing to have in Beaune but it was pretty good. It’s a set price for all you can eat which will get you in trouble as the flavors are good and there is plenty of options on the sushi train. Had a good Chablis to wash it down.

It’s not Japanese & far from authentic, choices r limited for this all you can eat buffet.The sushi rice falls apart, the fishes r dry, there are stuffs that are not Japanese on the buffet…It’s kinda Chinese food with bad sushi.2. Excellent conveyor belt style Japanese place.Great selection of dishes (warm and cold) all freshly prepared and constantly topped. The conveyor was always full even with a full restaurant.I am usually not a fan of all-you-can-eat places, but this one did not compromise quality for quantity and was very well priced on top.

Excellent spot for an elevated French meal! The atmosphere was lovely, service top-notch and the dishes were your classic French comfort food. If you're there to try the chicken (seemed like everyone was) but don't want the eyes on you for the tableside carving, there is another chicken dish on the menu that was delicious and just as good-looking as the other diner's full bird. The tableside flambé for the Grand Marnier crepes was pretty cool though! The wine list is one of the most extensive we saw on our entire 2 week trip. Highly recommend!

We made the booking by stopping by in person while only the pizza place attached next door was open. I thought for sure they would say “just call back later” but the guy at the pizza place walked out, around the corner and in to the closed restaurant to get the bookings register to take our reservation. We ordered the chefs tasting and a bottle of wine. They did a spin on the Bourgogne oeuf by serving it with a heap of truffles and the Bresse chicken was whole roasted and carved tableside, quite spectacular. The crepe Suzette was also flambeed tableside. Best combination of food and service we received over four days eating in Beaune. I would go back once on every visit.

The Bresse whole roast chicken was easily one of the best meals I have ever eaten. With plenty to share between two of us, the chicken was carved at the table and served in it's own juices. A totally unique flavour.

Ok. This is a must visit restaurant if you are into classic Burgundy cuisine. The food is fantastic and the wine list makes you drool just to peruse it. Dining here is not inexpensive but oh is it worth the splurge. The Bresse chicken for 2ppl is the single greatest chicken dish I have ever tasted. It is carved tableside with such mastery that it looks like you are watching a video played back in high speed. As appetizers we had White Asparagus and Snails; for entrees the Charolais Côte de Boeuf (for 2) and Poulet de Bresse (for 2). The beef was great but GET THE BRESSE. Really.

The restaurant was recommended by several people/lists but it was a disappointment. The dishes are mostly plain and "boring", even such basic thing as mashed potato is tasteless. There are much better gourmet restaurants around and also family owned bistros in town with simple but tasty local food (and the price there is ~1/3 of Le Bistro). Bottom line - not recommended.

One of the best dinners me and my wife have ever experienced. Simply exquisite! I highly recommend going with the chicken despite the higher price you will not regret it!

Careful with taking lunch on the terrace, even out of season. It’s extremely expensive, you won’t believe how little you get for 22€ (half small chicken, nothing on the side) or 18€ (a very lean version of “Caesar Salad”). Service was very friendly but only one person for the whole terrace… Location is nice, otherwise I cannot recommend.

Terrible service - don't waste your time here with so many better choices nearby!The owner clearly doesn't care about customers or being nice ("eat, now pay & get out!"). Place was almost empty and he was "very busy" sharing a bottle with his friends at another table...We asked for suggestions on the wine list and he literally replied "Pick whatever, I don't have 1 hour to waste...". In a wine bar!!!So we just ordered a salad and a glass of wine and felt so unwelcome that we left to have dinner somewhere else ("Caves de la Madeleine", next door), where we had a super nice evening!tl;dr: salad was ok and the wine selection is great, too bad the owner has zero interest in his non-local customers.

While the wine shop part might deserve 4 or even 5 stars, the restaurant certainly does not. The food is good, but quite overpriced for what you get. Especially today's meal of the day was an example for this: Porc meat of a quality that is definitely not keeping up with what I am used from restaurants in France for a solid 28€. The charcuterie was surely good but also nothing that we found for a considerably lower price elsewhere. The wine selection was excellent. Service friendly and welcoming.

We had 5 wines by the glass, didn't like any of them (unlike the four other wine bars). Food is mostly canned products from the shop. Doesn't seem like a good option in Beaune.

Our flight got delayed and we sent email to notify the restaurant hours in advance. After 17hours flight, We rushed from Paris to the restaurant And we were really sorry about it. (So we ate really fast and was not the last one left the restaurant) However, one of the waiters was poker face for the whole night. Showed he’s greatest reluctance to us. Not willing to answer any questions, make large noise while was placing the plates etc. serving people like he’s going to punch them in their face the next second The worst service I’ve ever expected. when came to wine serving, we were so shocked that he basically pour more than half glass…what a waste man! We were not there for binge drinking! We requested if he could pour less for the next round, he’s face turned double poker 🙂 Food was soso. The scallops are more too salty.As we didn’t have the breads, we asked politely if we could pack it and take away to avoid food waste. That waiter just took the plates and threw the bread on the table and told us we can bring it home. Oh well. Thank you for your hospitality. This is my first time ever complained about anyone right away in a restaurant. Would never recommend this place to anyone as long as the guy still works there. Thanks.

Food and service is perfect, they take their time, but it while waiting you will have the wine open up and especially the young ones will get even better. Great restaurant with friendly owners and a talented chef.Fine dining cuisine with a focus on fromage with dishes designed to fill you and not leave one hungry (as can all too often be the case with fine dining).The food was of a very high quality and the staff were attentive and friendly with certain staff members being able to converse comfortably in both french and english. Unfortunately my French is non-existent, something to rectify.The drinks menu is was comprehensive with a large focus placed on wines but with juices and a small selection of soft drinks also available.The primary dishes at the time of veal or seared tuna were both delectable and can be recommended on preference.There is an elevator available for wheelchair access, outdoor couch seating is available for comfort and the surrounding greenery is stunning.Would only recommend soft music for ambience.

Nice hotel for a stop on the way to the south of France. Food was good and they also had local wines. Rooms were decent. Scenic location, good for an evening stroll.

We didnt stay in hotel but had dinner here. Service is ok but food is very bad. Starter is duck which was very sour. Beef and lamb as main courses which are bad as well- seems like have some mince meat as well. Overall the food is not worth the price and it does’t taste nice at all. Very disappointed as we drive quite far to have the dinner

The restaurant is nice and the service is good but the food is not great. It looks really good but it doesn’t taste so great. It’s an instagram food with creative design but flavors that are not necessarily going together on the plate. We did the 75 euros menu to try as much as possible. Probably the highlight was the scallop.

This is a review for the restaurant. I'd call this an Instagram menu - everything comes out looking beautiful and very carefully put together, but flavor is mediocre at best, often items that do not go together appear on the same plate probably because it pleased someone's esthetics.Service by Mohamed was very patronizing throughout the evening which made the whole ordeal even worse.We spent 7 days in France, from fancy michelin star restaurants to unassuming cafes and bistros. This restaurant was the worst meal of the trip.

Great for a two, three or four courses lunch. I really liked the cold Zucchini cream as a starter! A real inspiration for developing my own cooking! The wine cellar offered also a small bottle of Mersault that accompanied the food in a perfect way!

I first visited the globe last year and am now staying for three months in the burgundy area. The globe has become a firm favourite to my wife and I.Firstly the food. We are both absolutely amazed that Chef has not learnt a Michelin star. The choice of ingredients, variety and sheer class of presentation is exceptionally worthy of at least a star! My wife is vegetarian and this is one of the few restaurants anywhere in the area that will naturally produce both a delicate and varied vegetarian menu. Despite eating the same menu over many weeks small variances both in the ingredients and flavouring have made each and every meal a delight for my wife.All the staff are exceptional particularly Mohammed who understands local Burgundian wines and has given some exceptional references.We will return and return and return. Two friends, my wife, our sons (4 and 2 years old) and I had dinner at Les Arts in Meursault (Côte de Beaune)! The restaurant is directly at the main square of Meursault. Both the owners and waiters were really nice and attentive. An adequate amount of local dishes and a large variety of vines is offered. The restaurant is quite popular and you should reserve a table in advance.One point is deducted as the portions are not too big and the prices are not that cheap. Nonetheless, we had a nice evening and we would go there for dinner again.

Saw us arriving on our bikes on a hot afternoon and locked their door shut. I understand places take a break in the afternoon but to lock us out so visibly and at an arbitrary time (4:21pm) is beyond rude. Don’t give this place your time or money, they don’t know the first thing about hospitality.

Pauline welcomed us in the most charming way. We drank great wines, heard the stories about it and had a wonderful moment sharing stories.A visit we will not forget!

We only ate in the restaurant, which was very good, and has an amazing wine list, although many of the wines are still too young to be properly appreciated.

Set menu of three dishes for a very reasonable price of 20EU. We tried snail, poached egg, veal kidneys and beef cheeks, and all the dishes were really tasty. As a bonus for travelers like us, they also speak English really well. Recommended.
