Person of Interest: Gordon Freeman
Personnel File: Gordon Freeman #8241/01
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: [Level 4]
Person of Interest File #8241/01
Legal Name: Gordon Freeman
Gordon Freeman in his special HEV suit
Alias Used: -
SCPF ID#:
Personnel Classification: Class B
Current Position: Research Director of Site-08
Profile: Born in Seattle, Washington, Freeman harbored early interest in science, especially theoretical physics, making men like Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking and Richard Feynman his role models. He graduated MIT with a Ph.D in theoretical physics, writing his thesis about teleportation through the use of extremly dense elements (Observation of Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen Entanglement on Supraquantum Structures by Induction Through Nonlinear Transuranic Crystal of Extremely Long Wavelength (ELW) Pulse from Mode-Locked Source Array). After Graduation, Freeman traveled to Austria to observe several teleportation experiments at the Institute for Experimental Physics in Innsbruck. Disappointed by the pace of the project, he searched for a job outside the education sector, eventually being contacted by his MIT mentor Dr. Isaac Kleiner, who offered him a job at the government-owned, integrated research facility known as the Black Mesa Research Facility, to work on a research project with him. Assigned to the Anomalous Materials department, he does nuclear, subatomic and quantum research until one day, everything goes wrong. Freeman was to experiment on a sample, using the facilities Anti-Mass Spectrometer, but instead he triggers an Event called a Resonance Cascade, which ripped space-time apart and created a portal to the Alien world of Xen. During this large scale breach of Alien lifeforms, Freeman manages to survive the chaos, impressing surviving guards and scientists alike, while his acts make him a priority target for the Hazardous Enviroment Combat Unit, that has been sent to deal with this breach. The HECU is sent to eradicate all life inside the Black Mesa research facility and cover up what happened. After many tedious hours, Freeman and a few other Lambda Scientists, manage to teleport Freeman to the alien world, where he dispatched the alien "leader". Unknown to him, this triggers the attack of the trans-dimensional combine empire, which took control of earth in the famous "Seven Hour War". On his way to join the resistance, together with a friend from Black Mesa, he mysteriously vanished, after coming into contact with an unknown man (See Incident Report 507-B-025-Lambda). After being questioned by the Foundation, Gordon Freeman joined the organisation, hoping that this way, he could protect earth from the combine invasion.
Achievments:
- Ph.D in theoretical physics
- numerous award winning thesis
- Surviving against an elite combat unit equal to a MTF and multiple hostile alien invaders
- Building a teleportation device
- Dispatching an alien "leader"
- Returning to earth
- Not being captured by the Combine Empire
- staying sane after being transported across dimensions
- made groundbreaking technological progress in the research of teleportation with help of foundation staff
- led a team to build a portal to SCP-1730
Notes: While Dr. Freeman is highly competent in his field of work, his loyalty is yet to be thourougly observed. It is unclear, if he cooperates to further the goals of the foundation, or if those goals simply overlap with his own. As such, Special Agents are to shadow Dr. Freeman at all times, to investigate further, although at current time, Dr. Freeman has shown to act loyal to Foundation goals. While a high hume level has been observed in Dr. Freeman, he yet has to show any signs of a Type Green. Through interviews and observation, it has been noted that Dr. Freeman seems to have a lot of good luck though. Possible connections are subject to further research.
