The glass light dome is thin and I will assume low quality glass. I was in an awkward spot and had a bucket on the scaffold beside me and had to set the dome down to reposition. I dropped the light fixture assembly into the bucket from maybe 6-8" up and it cracked. I was baffled. I was selling my house and didn't have time to wait, so I ordered another one at $160 to get keep the deadline. And honestly, as a mechanical engineer, I can't understand why blades aren't pre-balanced and then numbered to which spot they go. Balancing them on-site is antiquated and would be easy to set up at the fan factory. My fan was very wobbly.
