When it comes to simple summer desserts, there’s nothing easier or more beloved than the humble popsicle. Fruit dessert fan? Chocoholic? Popsicles come in all shapes, sizes, and flavors that can satisfy every craving. From cold and creamy to tart and refreshing, these recipes can be enjoyed by everyone, young and old, from breakfast till dessert. Check out our list of 40 popsicle recipes for ideas.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for… ice cream? We don’t know about you, but while our kids do love a scoop of ice cream, when they’re outside running around during the summer, they’re ALL about the popsicle. We love them too—making them at home means we control what goes into them (less sugar!), and we can make them as big or as small as we want (less mess!). For fruit-loving kids, try our strawberry popsicles or banana pudding pops. Got a chocolate lover in the family? They’ll flip for our nutella pops (just like Fudgesicles!) or our chocolate caramel crunch pops. You can even turn breakfast into a popsicle (perfect for those HOT days everyone’s rushing out the door to get to summer activities). Try our breakfast pops, our orangesicles (like a glass of OJ and bowl of Greek yogurt in one), or our frozen Fruity Pebbles yogurt pops. Don’t have popsicle molds? You’ve still got options: Make dixie cup popsicles or simply use a loaf pan, like in our loaf pan mango pops.
Looking for more adult fare? We recommend trying more complex flavors, like in our key lime pie pops or keto avocado pops, or adding alcohol to your frozen treat. A frozen drink is great, but trust us, a frozen cocktail in popsicle form is even better. Check out our Bloody Mary pops, our margarita pops, our rainbow candy pops, or our strawberry mojito pops for ideas, but really, pretty much any drink can be turned into a popsicle.
And don’t worry—most of our alcoholic pops will work just as well as mocktails (poptails?). Simply replace the alcohol with more base liquid, and you’ll be good to go (if you make multiple batches, we recommend labeling your sticks to avoid confusion).
