Unique B&B in the home of the 1892 Borden ax murders, with traditional rooms, free tours & Wi-Fi.

The house is BEAUTIFUL and everyone I had come across was so kind. My tour guide was Vic, she was absolutely incredible to say the least. The tour was so fascinating and definitely the highlight of my business trip. Her personality was so spunky and she knew how to keep the group involved and listening. She answered every question I had even down to the heights of the members in the household! I would love to come back again soon, and plan to do the Fall River ghost tour with them as well! Thank you for doing such a wonderful job of entertaining my morbid curiosity!

We arrived at the bed and breakfast for a 11:30 tour. Our tour guide, Jay, was very attentive to our needs in the gift shop, pointing out the bathroom and gifts for sale. He walked us through the house pointing out all the historical areas and explained very plainly about the crime scene, the people involved in the investigation and the trial of Lizzie. He explained where the final resting place of the entire Borden family was located and explained how to get to the grave site. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the history of the house, location and town! Very happy with the tour! Stayed the night in the Lizzie and Emma suite. Not aFan of the shared bathroom, but I understand the building having limited space and the owners trying to keep it as true to the original as possible. Enjoyed the free range of the first floor. Everyone was very respectful and friendly and it was quiet after quiet hours. Our light kept going off on its own and at one point in the middle of the night, around 3:00 am I awoke to our main door opening even though I was sure I bolted it shut, and the door to Emma’s room was closed when it had been open when we went to bed. Other then that it was a restful night!!

Stayed the night last week in the John Morse (murder) room. The house is gorgeous and so full of history. Did the 10pm ghost hunt with Phil (one of the tour guides) and he was great. It was an interesting (and scary) experience and I in fact did not fall asleep at all that night, just stayed up and enjoyed lounging in the cozy bed watching movies on my phone. Paid for breakfast in the morning, it was delicious and the staff were so friendly. Concluded my stay with an official house tour, which was also super fun and informative. Parking was a breeze and the gift shop is located in the back barn. Highly recommend but the ghost hunt is not for the faint of heart!

Visiting the Lizzie Borden House has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember, and once I found out you can stay the night…YES PLEASE! I’ve never had a paranormal experience until last Monday night. A friend of mine and I stayed in Bridget Sullivan’s room on the third floor, which I already knew coming in that floor tends to be more active. We also did a ghost hunt (which I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend…Ashley was fabulous!) during which my hair was pulled on the third floor. During the night I had my feet played with along with my nose being touched. Otherwise I slept just fine! I stayed here for the history and the paranormal aspect and knew it wouldn’t be like your typical B&B. The rooms could have used like bottles of water or something versus needing to purchase them from the shop, but overall that didn’t bother me much. Sad that you have to pay for breakfast versus a continental one offered, but again, didn’t bother much. I just went next door to the Lizzie Cafe for breakfast. Overall from the fellow guests to Ashley our ghost hunting guru and everyone we encountered it was a highlight to my trip!!! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a spooky good time!

We had an amazing time visiting the Lizzie Borden house! We took a tour of the house and stayed in the Andrew Jennings room that night! Emily was an awesome tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were able to park in the back of the house and had no trouble getting into the house or our room. The room was great and there were plenty of amenities in the bathroom. We would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed a private tour of the house/museum. Everything has been restored authentically. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. It was fascinating to learn about the case and be where it all happened! Warning that you'll be shown some graphic autopsy photos so speak up if you'd rather not. Highly recommend for history buffs or true crime fans. We did not stay overnight, just did the tour and gift shop.

It was so fun!!! The best part of the experience was the staff, they were so nice and knowledgeable. It was so cool. I do have to admit the basem*nt was scary but the rest of the house actually had really good vibes. HIGHLY recommend this spot to anyone traveling to southern New England.

As a true-crime fan and Lizzie Borden buff, I can't think of a better place to spend a spooky night! It's not a fancy hotel, definitely a bed & breakfast (with shared bathrooms for some rooms), so definitely visit with intentions to meet your neighbours and get cozy. That's part of the fun! The staff was very knowledgeable, extra welcoming and tons of tun. Total bucket-list experience and highly recommended! & Big thanks to the super-sweet Paige for going above and beyond to make us comfy. :)

We had the best time here! The tour was great! Loved hearing all the theories. Our guide was so good! She answered all the questions and really knew her history of this place. Highly recommend visiting here if you like creepy things or even just history. My whole family enjoyed it.

We absolutely loved the tour and highly recommend it! Suzanne was our guide and she was fantastic. The house is beautiful, the tour is very informative and entertaining, and they have a wonderful gift shop. We'd never been to Fall River and it's a cute place. We'd love to go back and are planning to stay at the Lizzie Borden House when we do!

We had a fabulous time! This was a captivating and amazing tour. Very informative with spooky details. Loved every minute of it. The house was thrilling-- we love history. Our guide was very animated and was enjoying the tour as well! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Well, I did not plan on ever going to the Lizzie Borden House but while on a business trip I saw it on Google maps. My daughter has read the story and even plans on visiting the house someday. She previously told me a few tidbits of the story that peaked my interested upon discovering I was so very close to the house where such an event took place so long ago. I thought why not. I can go check it out, as I will most likely never be near here again.First, I will say the house has been restored outside very well. Understanding the desire to maintain the architectural history, the owners have done a great job even after making several current day upgrades to provide a comfortable, safe and inviting bed and breakfast for guests.Second, the ghost tour was a fantastic way to learn more about the town and spiritual presence that still lurks though the shadows throughout the day. The level of history given and the walking distance was appropriately determined. The Ghost Tour ending inside the house was a great look into the past and creates a stirring imagination of just what happened on the important day in history that created the need for the Lizzie Borden Dead…I mean, Bed and Breakfast. There are pictures already posted here go see for yourself, but take the extra step and visit. It is worth it. Pictures may say a thousand words, but smell, touch and sight create a story and memory forever.Bring an open mind and open heart to the tour, leave any skepticism behind. Be grateful, you will leave with a closed skull at the end. This is a must experience, if for nothing else but to learn a little history about the once thriving city of River Falls, Connecticut.

It was a great experience! The gift shop is located around back of the house and that's where you check in, and where the gift shop is as well. They have a great selection of shirts, magnets, games, puzzles, post cards, etc. The house is simply beautiful, it's like stepping back in time and seeing what the family was seeing at the time. Our tour guide was amazing! He was so kind and knew so much information we didn't already know from past research and videos we have looked at. Jack is definitely one to be recommended when it comes to the tours, he is also more good looking in person! There is an add on for the basem*nt and it was worth the extra few dollars. The group was a great size and we all talked prior to going into the house, we all were excited to be there. I hope whoever goes here next has as much fun as us!

My husband and I stayed at the Lizzie Borden house for my birthday with another couple and we had a great experience during our stay. We felt very comfortable and safe staying at the house with the key pad lock for entry. The house was was well kept considering how old it is and everything was clean the only complaint I have is the towels they give you to use for the shower are very used worn, but we did bring our own towel so we didn’t have to use the ones they offered. We did the night time tour from 10-12 our guide was fun and informative luckily we had a good group of people and the ones hat were loud and weren’t into the tour so much kinda did their own thing so it didn’t interfere with us. The next day we went and checked out the second home Lizzie had purchased and the grave sites of the family which was farely close and then we enjoyed Newport which was a 15-20min ride.

We really enjoyed our stop at the home of Lizzie Borden. Our tour guide was great, he clearly knew the history of the home and that of Lizzie.I think it would be a great place to stay the night, but we didn’t know that it was an option before we stopped by. My bad.The reason for the 3/5 is due to the price of admission: $215 for 6 people to tour the home for an hour is a bit much. I was even more surprised that for the price, the tour of the basem*nt was not included. I believe that was almost another $10 per person.

Absolutely wonderful! Rooms so nice. Felt completely comfortable So historic. Woke up around 5:30am and we both had tears in our eyes. Very odd, we are not superstitious and came for the history not the paranormal type experience, but we both found it odd. Definitely recommend the stay.

Debra Holder — Google review

The experience was definitely on par with what I was expecting, which was a wonderful thing. We arrived quite early and while it was interesting to snoop about the house, having others there to me adds proper flavor. I’d recommend booking the night tour for the heck of it, or at least listening in here and there. The long list of check-in instructions was helpful, as was the staff any time I contacted them before, during and after the trip. The rooms were comfortable. Thin walls and plenty of things to be careful of as it’s an old house, but the ambience created was fun, and there were some delightfully creepy moments created by the staff or… something else, who knows?Location-wise, it’s Fall River so there’s only so much to do if you aren’t going to get stuck in with a paranormal investigation. Not a highly walkable area. There are decent shopping centers, a cinema, a marvelous maritime museum and some good restaurants to choose from a few minutes’ drive from the house. If you order food delivered to the house, the delivery people might have difficulty with knowing which entrance to knock on, so I suggest giving them details or waiting for them outside. All in all we had a fun time and met plenty of other friendly people with a passion for ghosts!

I didn’t stay a Lizzie Borden B&B me and my friend took a tour of the house. A incredible tour guide named Emily Sheridan kept my completely intrigued. I went into Tour without a lot of knowledge or knowing about the family’s history. And Emily had all the information and then some .. she had quite the personality and even rein acting some of the past events! She was so awesome at her job! Friendly & knowledgeable. I tip my hat to her,Bravo Emily!

We had myself and my daughters and a friend stay overnight. We had so much fun. Made friends with people in the house so we checked each others rooms out. The gift shop is wonderful and filled with great things. The tour guide we had was very informative and funny at the same time. We did have experiences and would recommend a stay. Definitely would do again!

I wasn't expecting to step back in time upon our arrival at the house. The furnishings and décor gave the house's history an air of authenticity---of being present when the legendary events occurred in 1892. We arrived early and found a most helpful Jay in the gift shop who knew our name without asking. The accommodations were more than adequate with comfortable beds, a private bath, and plenty of hot water. Jay's tour of the house was entertaining as well as revealing and he was open to the many questions I bombarded him with. Rachel, the housekeeper, was an absolute delight and made us feel right at home. I would highly recommend a stay at the Borden House for anyone wishing to steep themselves in its solemn atmosphere and quietly contemplate the events that made it a landmark. Thank you, Jay, and Rachel for a most enjoyable stay.

I'd toured the property years ago and it was kind of dry but fine overall. Decided to bring my family back in July 2023 and Jack was an absolutely AMAZING tour guide. He added great bits of history, forensics, and comedy into his narrative. Really enjoyed it this time around -- thanks Jack!

My daughter and I recently enjoyed a tour here, and it was easily one of the best experiences we've had. Our tour guide Elliott was fantastic - friendly, engaging, and shared so many stories! The house is beautifully restored, and sets the tone for the events of 1892. We also learned a lot of details about the family, murders, and community that we didn't know before. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time at the Lizzie Borden house and our tour guide, Elliot, was quite impressive for such a young person. Elliot was engaging, informative, and entertaining and had just graduated from high school (spent a lot of time in the theater department). If you have a chance book a tour and get Elliot as your guide. The house is interesting and the story is always engaging and thought provoking. I think we will do it again next year and see what else we can learn about this fascinating case.

Pamela Rubisch — Google review

The tour was absolutely fantastic! We were fortunate to have the amazing Elliot as our guide, who was extremely knowledgeable and very nice! For the price ($30 per ticket), the value is amazing as the tour is an hour, and you are able to see all three floors. We opted for the basem*nt tour as well (an additional $17). From the basem*nt, you can still see remnants of the blood spatter from murder in 1892. The gift shop is also great!Important notes: check in at the gift shop for the tour. You can see the famous ouiji board in the gift shop. We did not stay overnight, but the rooms are great, as one can see them all as part of the tour.

I cannot state enough how excited we were to stay at the Lizzie Borden house and on both occasions, we had an absolutely wonderful stay.We are Paranormal Investigators and luckily we were able to investigate on both occasions. The house did not disappoint us, and we had pretty amazing activity on both nights. It's a stunning house and you truly forget for a moment or two, the horrible crime that occurred there. When you walk through the door, you could almost believe you have stepped back in time to 1892. The decor and artifacts set a hauntingly beautiful backdrop to a perfect stay in probably the country's most infamous bed and breakfast. The Staff who served us breakfast were delightful and the food was very good., but the chance to eat breakfast in the dining room where the Bordens had their last family meal and where the first autopsies were performed will probably be the reason we always choose to have breakfast when we visit in the future!

I've wanted to visit here for years and I finally made the trip! My tour guide was awesome and very patient despite the fact that the other people on the tour kept talking over him. I was a few minutes late and he even stayed back after the tour to show me what I missed. I stayed in the Hosea Knowlton room. The ghost tour that happened that night was so cool. Izzy was fantastic at answering all our questions and showing us how to use the equipment. Everyone got so much activity in the house it was crazy. I actually slept through the night. If the ghost children were playing in the room they didn't wake me up. I'll definitely be back and stay in another room to see if I get more activity in other rooms.

A group of 6 of us went on the ghost tour. It was so much fun. It was freezing out and drizzling and still worth every second. Our tour guide Amber was funny and knowledgeable. She was a great story teller. We definitely want to go back and stay or do a ghost hunt. We don't know if we are tok chicken though.

Had an awesome time at the Lizzy Borden house, for a 1 night stay. Got there a little before check in time. Had the whole house to ourselves. Felt a little strange but it was very cool ! Bridgett Sullivan room was really peaceful. Bed was extremely comfy!! Didn’t get the breakfast, but it smelled delicious. A really nice girl offered me coffee. Was sweet of her. I would highly recommend this place for a stay.

I have always wanted to visit the Borden home and it did not disappoint! Emily was an AMAZING guide. She told the story so beautifully, connected with us, and was so extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer any of our questions. She was truly so hospitable and a joy to talk to. The extended basem*nt tour is a must see, some really spooky and incredible things down there! I could not recommend this tour enough and I would absolutely stay there for a night if I wasn’t a little afraid of ghosts!

This tour was one of the most amazing experiences that I have had! This was a birthday present from my mother, and the both of us forever, so fortunate to take part in this extraordinary tour. Our tour guide was a true thespian and incredible individual who shared at the history of the board and family and the home in a manner that allowed us to immerse our self into what she was sharing. There were so many intricate parts of history that were related to this family I have never heard, that has been conveniently unreported or left out.…. Until now. I would strongly recommend this tour to anybody. The amount of enthusiasm, theatrics, personality, professionalism, knowledge that the tour guide/manager offered was unsurmountable! Bravo to the curators of this wonderfully historical establishment! Thank you for making my birthday a perfect one!

Nicole Baptiste — Google review

This is such a fun experience. Going on a tour is a ust before staying as you will visit all the rooms. It was fun to be able to walk around the house unassisted. The check in process is virtual which is so nice! The staff was so helpful and pleasant and they even took the time to tell us extra ghost stories and experiences.

Kourtney Nehring — Google review

While I didn't stay the night, we did the tour with the extended basem*nt addition. We had such a great time! The emf readers even went off in a couple of rooms. I personally love this kind of stuff. Our guide couldn't have been better. He was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. He plays the part perfectly. I will definitely be returning and hopefully will get to spend the night! 10/10 highly recommend!!
